Commercial refrigerator and fridge repair in Antalya
Fault diagnosis, repair and scheduled maintenance for commercial refrigerators and under-counter units. We diagnose compressor, refrigerant leak and recharging, fan, thermostat and door gasket faults by measurement.

Common faults and symptoms
A refrigerator takes the heat from inside and releases it into the kitchen air through the condenser. If the condenser gets dusty, the door does not close fully or the kitchen gets very hot, the unit struggles; some faults are the result of that strain.
- 01
Not cooling, or not cooling enough
The inside temperature does not drop to the set value and products stay lukewarm.
Possible causes- Dusty or greasy condenser
- Refrigerant leak or low refrigerant charge
- Compressor or compressor relay fault
- Condenser or evaporator fan stopped
- 02
Runs constantly, never stops
The motor never goes quiet and electricity use goes up.
Possible causes- Warm air getting in through the door gasket
- Dirty condenser and poor ventilation
- Thermostat or temperature sensor fault
- Falling refrigerant charge
- 03
Icing up
The evaporator (the cooling surface inside) is covered in ice and airflow drops.
Possible causes- Faulty defrost heater, timer or sensor
- Door opened too often or a leaking gasket
- Blocked defrost water drain
- 04
Too cold, products freezing
Products on the shelves freeze and the temperature drops below the setting.
Possible causes- Thermostat setting or a faulty thermostat
- Temperature sensor out of position
- Control board fault
- 05
Leaking water
Water collects under or inside the unit.
Possible causes- Blocked defrost drain
- Overflowing evaporation tray
- Condensation around the door gasket
- 06
Noisy operation
Ticking, rubbing or vibration noises.
Possible causes- Ice or a foreign object touching the fan blade
- Worn fan motor bearing
- Loose compressor or pipe connections
What we check during a service visit
- Inside temperature measurement, thermostat and sensors
- Condenser cleaning and ventilation clearances
- Compressor current, relay and overload protector
- Refrigerant pressures and leak check
- Evaporator and condenser fans
- Defrost heater, timer and drain
- Door gasket, hinges and door closing
- Test run: the unit pulling down to its target temperature
Every job ends with a written service report: symptom, diagnosis, work done and test result on one page.
Before you call us
These checks are safe to do and make it easier to describe the fault.
- Make sure the thermostat or digital setpoint has not been changed.
- Check that the door closes fully and the gasket is not torn.
- Make sure the air inlets and outlets at the front and back of the unit are not blocked.
- Measure the inside temperature with a thermometer and note it; move the products to another refrigerator if needed.
Do not work on the electrical panel, the gas line or the refrigerant circuit yourself; switch the unit off and call us.
Maintenance tips
These are general recommendations; the instructions and values in your unit’s manual always take priority.
Every day
- Read and record the inside temperature; a slow rise is the first sign of a fault.
- Do not keep the door open unnecessarily; do not put very hot food straight in, cool it quickly first.
- Do not block the fan and air ducts with products.
Every week
- Wipe the door gaskets with warm soapy water and check them for tears and hardening.
- Clean the shelves and inside surfaces and wipe up spills straight away.
- Check the evaporator for ice build-up.
- If you can reach it, remove dust from the front of the condenser with a soft brush while the unit is switched off.
At scheduled maintenance (technical service)
- Deep cleaning of the condenser (more often in greasy, dusty kitchens)
- Refrigerant pressure and leak check
- Check of fan motors, defrost system and drain
- Thermostat and sensor calibration
Frequently asked questions
Why is my commercial fridge not cooling?
Common causes are a dusty condenser, air leaking through the door gasket, poor ventilation, an iced-up evaporator, low refrigerant and a compressor or fan fault. First check the thermostat setting, the door and the ventilation clearances. If the problem continues, move the products to a working refrigerator and call for service.
What temperature should a commercial refrigerator be?
For chilled food, 0 to +4 °C is usually the target; the value in the product specification and your business’s food safety plan is what counts. Checking and recording the temperature every day with a thermometer lets you spot a fault before products spoil.
Does a refrigerant recharge fix every cooling problem?
No. Refrigerant does not run low on its own; if it has dropped, there is a leak somewhere, and recharging without fixing the leak only postpones the problem. Poor cooling can also be caused by a dirty condenser, a fan, the thermostat or the compressor. The cause has to be found by measurement first.
Why does a fridge struggle when the kitchen is very hot?
A refrigerator releases the heat it takes from inside into the surrounding air; the hotter the room, the harder this becomes. The rating plate or manual shows the climate class, which indicates the room temperature the unit is designed for. Keeping the unit away from heat sources such as ranges and ovens and leaving an air gap behind it improves efficiency.
